Since Action Kivu launched in 2010, partnering with our founding director Amani Matabaro in Congo, we have graduated 205 sewing students with their own sewing kits, and 42 are ready to graduate with sewing machines to start their small businesses. Because of Action Kivu’s supporters, Amani was able to expand his vocational training to include soap making, bread baking, basket weaving, organic farming, and the Literacy Program, which has served over 300 women and girls previously denied a formal education.

Your donation provides the graduation kits for the class of 2018 ($11K), plus the funds to give other girls and women, denied an education in Congo, the skills and education in equality to embrace their inherent dignity and live the life they dream of, sending their children to school and creating a world where their daughters are equal. Visit Action Kivu’s blog to learn about the impact your giving makes in the lives of the women and children in Congo. Thank you for investing in peace, equality, and education!
