Make a Qualified Charitable Distribution
If you are 70½ or older, you may be able to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to Action Kivu.
A QCD is transferred directly from your IRA custodian to an eligible charitable organization. It can be excluded from taxable income and can count toward your required minimum distribution, if you are required to take one.

How to Make Your IRA Gift
Contact your IRA custodian or log in to your account and request a Qualified Charitable Distribution directly to Action Kivu.
The distribution must be made directly from the IRA to the charity to qualify as a QCD; a donor generally can't withdraw the money personally and subsequently donate it and treat that transfer as a QCD.
Qualified Charitable Distributions are subject to IRS requirements. Please consult your financial or tax advisor to determine whether an IRA charitable gift is appropriate for your individual circumstances.
Include Action Kivu in Your Will or Trust
A gift through your will or living trust can extend your support for Action Kivu's locally led work in eastern Congo beyond your lifetime.
You can leave Action Kivu:
A percentage of your estate
A percentage of what remains after gifts to loved ones.
A specific amount
A particular dollar amount designated in your will or trust.
All or part of the remainder of your estate
A gift from what remains after other distributions have been made.
